    Yöntem ve bilimsel temel

    1. Basic hydraulic quantities

Cross-sectional area, mean velocity and Reynolds number are computed for each segment. Water properties (ρ, ν, pv) are linearly interpolated from a 0–100 °C table or entered by the user.

    2. Darcy–Weisbach (primary method)

Varsayımlar: tam dolu, sıkıştırılamaz, kararlı akım; dairesel kesit. K değerleri tek bir evrensel sabit değildir; üretici verisi tercih edilmelidir.

Assumptions: full, incompressible, steady flow in circular pipes. K values are not universal constants; manufacturer data should be preferred.

    3. Sürtünme katsayısı bağıntıları

Laminer (Hagen–Poiseuille) Re < 2000 olduğunda yöntem seçiminden bağımsız olarak uygulanır. Colebrook–White kapalı (implicit) denklemdir; x = 1/√f için Newton iterasyonuyla 10⁻¹² bağıl toleransla çözülür ve referans kabul edilir. Haaland ve Swamee–Jain iterasyonsuz açık yaklaşımlardır. Churchill laminer, geçiş ve türbülanslı bölgeleri tek sürekli ifadeyle kapsar; geçiş bölgesinde karşılaştırma için önerilir.

    3. Friction factor correlations

Laminar (Hagen–Poiseuille) is applied whenever Re < 2000, regardless of the method selected. Colebrook–White is implicit; it is solved for x = 1/√f by Newton iteration to a relative tolerance of 10⁻¹² and is treated as the reference. Haaland and Swamee–Jain are explicit approximations. Churchill covers the laminar, transitional and turbulent regimes with one continuous expression and is recommended for comparison in the transitional zone.

    4. Hazen–Williams (comparison)

An empirical relation developed for water at ordinary temperatures in turbulent flow. It ignores viscosity and Reynolds number, so it is reported for comparison only.

    5. Total dynamic head, power and energy

The pump is assumed to draw from the source and segments are in series. The power chain includes pump, motor and VFD efficiencies. Annual energy uses the daily operating hours of each tariff period and the operating days per year.

    TDH=(z2−z1)+Hreq+∑hf+∑hmPe=ρgQTDH1000ηpηmηVFD
    Eyıl=Pe·Ngün·∑ktkCyıl=Pe·Ngün·∑ktkckes=Pe3600Q[kWh/m³]

HGL, pompa çıkışında z₁ + TDH değerinden başlar; minör kayıplar segment girişinde, sürtünme kaybı segment boyunca doğrusal düşülür. Basınç yükü p/ρg = HGL − z (boru ekseni). Negatif değerler vakum/hava cebi riskine işaret eder.

The HGL starts at z₁ + TDH at the pump outlet; minor losses are taken at each segment inlet and friction loss linearly along the segment. Pressure head p/ρg = HGL − z (centreline). Negative values indicate vacuum/air-pocket risk.

    6. Pump curve, operating point, BEP and VFD

Second-order polynomials are least-squares fitted to the H–Q and η–Q points (R² and RMSE reported). The operating point is the root of Hpump(Q) = Hsystem(Q), found by bisection. The BEP is the maximum of the fitted efficiency curve within the data range. Other speeds follow the affinity laws.

    Q2Q1=N2N1,H2H1=(N2N1)2,P2P1=(N2N1)3

Tercih edilen çalışma bölgesi (POR) sınırları kullanıcı tarafından düzenlenebilir; varsayılan %70–120 BEP debisi, ANSI/HI 9.6.3 kılavuzunun yaygın pompa tipleri için verdiği genel aralıktır. Pompa tipinize ve üretici önerisine göre düzeltin.

Preferred operating region (POR) limits are editable; the default 70–120 % of BEP flow is the general range ANSI/HI 9.6.3 gives for common pump types. Adjust to your pump type and the manufacturer's advice.

    7. NPSH

Emme haznesinden pompaya: atmosfer basınç yükü + emme statik yükü − emme hattı kayıpları − buhar basıncı yükü. Atmosfer basıncı girilmezse ICAO standart atmosfer bağıntısıyla rakımdan hesaplanır. NPSHr üretici verisi yoksa kavitasyon hükmü verilmez.

    7. NPSH

From the suction reservoir to the pump: atmospheric pressure head + suction static head − suction-line losses − vapour pressure head. If atmospheric pressure is not entered it is computed from altitude with the ICAO standard atmosphere. Without manufacturer NPSHr data no cavitation verdict is given.

    8. Yaşam döngüsü maliyeti (LCC)

Her aday çap tüm segmentlere uygulanır ve sistem yeniden çözülür. Enerji maliyeti yıllık e oranında artabilir; bakım yıllık CAPEX yüzdesi olarak alınır.

    8. Life-cycle cost (LCC)

Each candidate diameter is applied to all segments and the system is re-solved. Energy cost may escalate at rate e per year; maintenance is a yearly percentage of CAPEX.

    LCC=CAPEX+∑t=1NCE(1+e)t−1+CM(1+r)t,CAPEX=(cpipeL+ckWPe)(1+kinst)

    9. Duyarlılık, Monte Carlo ve tepki yüzeyi

Tek seferde bir parametre (OAT) yöntemiyle her parametre ±p% değiştirilir, diğerleri sabit tutulur ve çıktı değişimi tornado grafiğinde sıralanır. Monte Carlo analizinde seçilen parametreler çarpan olarak örneklenir (normal: σ = %, pozitif değere kesilmiş; düzgün ve simetrik üçgen: ±%). Rastgele sayı üreteci tohumlu olduğundan sonuçlar tekrarlanabilir. P5, P50, P95 ampirik yüzdeliklerdir.

    9. Sensitivity, Monte Carlo and response surface

With the one-at-a-time (OAT) method each parameter is changed by ±p % while the others are fixed, and the output swings are ranked in a tornado chart. Monte Carlo samples the selected parameters as multipliers (normal: σ = %, truncated to positive; uniform and symmetric triangular: ±%). The random generator is seeded so results are reproducible. P5, P50 and P95 are empirical percentiles.

    10. Su darbesi ön kontrolü (Joukowsky)

Ani ve tam kapanmada basınç yükü artışı ΔH = aΔV/g. Kapanma süresi 2L/a'dan uzunsa artış daha küçüktür. Dalga hızı a boru malzemesine, et kalınlığına ve mesnetlenmeye bağlıdır; kullanıcı girer.

    10. Water hammer screening (Joukowsky)

For instantaneous full closure the head rise is ΔH = aΔV/g. If closure is slower than 2L/a the rise is smaller. Wave speed a depends on pipe material, wall thickness and restraint; the user enters it.

    Yardım

    Adım adım kullanım

    1. Veri merkezi → Manuel giriş: sistem debisini, su sıcaklığını, kaynak ve hedef su seviyelerini, çıkışta gereken basıncı ve verimleri girin. Boru segmentlerini seri sırayla ekleyin; malzeme seçtiğinizde ε ve C otomatik dolar (değiştirebilirsiniz). Bağlantı elemanlarını ilgili boruya ekleyin; K toplamı tabloya otomatik yansır.
    3. Veri kalite kontrolü panelinde yeşil/sarı/kırmızı durum görünür. Kırmızı hata varsa analiz çalışmaz ve hangi alanın düzeltilmesi gerektiği yazılır.
    4. Analiz: KPI şeridi, segment tablosu, yöntem karşılaştırması, kayıp dağılımı, HGL/EGL profili, uyarılar ve su darbesi ön kontrolü. Her girdi değişikliğinde sonuçlar otomatik yeniden hesaplanır.
    5. Pompa lab: üretici eğrisini girin; çalışma noktası, BEP, POR, VFD hız senaryoları ve NPSH marjı hesaplanır.
    6. Çap optimizasyonu: aday çaplar ve kendi fiyatlarınızla CAPEX, NPV(OPEX) ve LCC karşılaştırılır.
    7. Simülasyon lab: kaydırıcılarla canlı tarama, tornado duyarlılığı, Monte Carlo belirsizliği ve D–Q tepki yüzeyi.
    8. Senaryolar: mevcut tasarımı kaydedin, değiştirin, tekrar kaydedin ve yan yana karşılaştırın.
    9. Rapor: dinamik bilimsel raporu oluşturun; HTML/PDF, Excel, CSV, JSON ve grafik PNG/SVG olarak indirin. Projeyi JSON olarak kaydedip daha sonra yükleyebilirsiniz.

    Site nasıl çalışır?

PipeLoss Pro tamamen tarayıcıda çalışan tek sayfalık bir uygulamadır. Veriler sunucuya gönderilmez. Mimari dört katmandan oluşur:

    1. Hesap motoru (engine.js): arayüzden bağımsız saf fonksiyonlar. Her girdi değişikliğinde analyze(proje) çağrılır; doğrulama → akışkan özellikleri → segment hidroliği → TDH → güç zinciri → enerji/maliyet → HGL profili → uyarılar sırasıyla çalışır. Sonuçların hiçbiri sabit yazılmış değildir.
    2. Veri katmanı: manuel tablolar ve SheetJS ile okunan Excel/CSV aynı proje nesnesine (JSON) dönüştürülür. İç birimler SI'dır; tablo birimleri yalnızca görüntü/giriş dönüşümüdür.
    3. Görselleştirme: Plotly.js ile etkileşimli (yakınlaştırma, kaydırma, ipucu, lejant, PNG) grafikler; ana sayfadaki kanvas animasyonu hesaplanan HGL/EGL'yi ve hızı kullanır.
    4. Dışa aktarma: Excel/CSV/JSON/HTML dosyaları tarayıcıda üretilir. Son analizler ve senaryolar tarayıcının yerel depolamasında tutulur.

İsteğe bağlı Python/FastAPI arka ucu aynı fizik motorunu API olarak sunar (toplu hesap, başka yazılımlarla entegrasyon) ve JavaScript motoruyla sayısal olarak çapraz doğrulanmıştır. Ayrıntılar README dosyasındadır.

    Sorun giderme

    • Grafikler görünmüyorsa internet bağlantısını kontrol edin (Plotly CDN'den yüklenir); ZIP sürümünde vendor/ klasöründeki yerel kopya otomatik kullanılır.
    • Excel okunmuyorsa sayfa adlarının (Pipes, Pump…) ve sütun adlarının şablonla aynı olduğunu kontrol edin.
    • “Çalışma noktası bulunamadı”: pompanın kapalı vana basma yüksekliği statik yükten düşük olabilir ya da eğri sistem eğrisini kesmiyordur.

    Step by step

    1. Data centre → Manual entry: enter the system flow, water temperature, source and destination levels, required outlet pressure and efficiencies. Add pipe segments in series order; choosing a material fills ε and C (you can edit them). Add fittings to the relevant pipe; the K sum appears in the table automatically.
    2. Excel/CSV: download the template, fill it in and drop it. The preview shows recognised columns, invalid cells (red) and duplicate IDs. “Apply to project” imports the data.
    3. The data quality check panel shows green/amber/red status. With red errors the analysis stops and states which field to fix.
    4. Analysis: KPI strip, segment table, method comparison, loss breakdown, HGL/EGL profile, warnings and water hammer screening. Results recalculate automatically on every input change.
    5. Pump lab: enter the manufacturer curve; operating point, BEP, POR, VFD speed scenarios and NPSH margin are computed.
    6. Diameter optimiser: compares CAPEX, NPV(OPEX) and LCC using candidate diameters and your own prices.
    7. Simulation lab: live sliders, tornado sensitivity, Monte Carlo uncertainty and a D–Q response surface.
    8. Scenarios: save the current design, change it, save again and compare side by side.
    9. Report: build the dynamic scientific report and download HTML/PDF, Excel, CSV, JSON and chart PNG/SVG. Save the project as JSON and load it later.

    How the site works

PipeLoss Pro is a single-page application that runs entirely in the browser; data is never sent to a server. It has four layers:

    1. Calculation engine (engine.js): pure functions independent of the UI. Every input change calls analyze(project): validation → fluid properties → segment hydraulics → TDH → power chain → energy/cost → HGL profile → warnings. No result is hard-coded.
    2. Data layer: manual tables and Excel/CSV (read with SheetJS) are converted into the same project object (JSON). Internal units are SI; table units only convert display/input.
    3. Visualisation: interactive Plotly.js charts (zoom, pan, tooltips, legend, PNG); the home-page canvas animation uses the computed HGL/EGL and velocity.
    4. Export: Excel/CSV/JSON/HTML files are generated in the browser. Recent analyses and scenarios are kept in the browser's local storage.

An optional Python/FastAPI backend exposes the same physics as an API (batch runs, integration with other software) and is numerically cross-validated against the JavaScript engine. See the README.

    Troubleshooting

    • If charts do not appear, check the internet connection (Plotly loads from a CDN); the ZIP version falls back to the local copy in vendor/.
    • If an Excel file is not read, check that sheet names (Pipes, Pump…) and column names match the template.
    • “No operating point found”: the pump shut-off head may be below the static head, or the curve may not cross the system curve.
